About Conch Home Interiors

Meet Amy
I started Conch Home Interiors after renovating my third vintage home—this one in Key West—and realizing that the work I loved most was finding creative ways to make existing homes work better.
My path to design is not a traditional one. I spent much of my career in program design and management, supplemented by a year in custom furniture sales, a few interior design courses, and years of hands-on renovation experience. That background shapes how I work today: understand the problem first, make thoughtful decisions early, and carry a clear vision through the details.
I live in Key West with my husband, daughter and our quirky rescue pup, and I love the individuality of the homes here and the challenge of making every square foot count.
A different kind of design background
Good design starts with understanding how you want to live.
Years of program design and management taught me to start with the people, the problem and the practical realities—not just how something looks.
At Conch Home Interiors, that means:
-
understanding your routines, priorities and pain points
-
solving for function before layering in finishes and furnishings
-
combining creative thinking with practical project discipline
Why small spaces and existing homes
Constraints often lead to the most creative, interesting and beautiful solutions.
Existing homes rarely offer a blank canvas—and we like it that way.
We look for opportunities to:
-
improve flow and rethink underused rooms
-
make better use of vertical space and overlooked storage
-
preserve the character worth keeping while making the home work better
Design for where we live
Island living asks more of a home.
Salt air, humidity, intense sun, storms, termites and indoor-outdoor living all influence design decisions in the Keys.
We consider:
-
materials suited to the local environment
-
layouts that support how the home is actually used
-
interiors that feel at home here rather than transplanted from somewhere else
